Following the first peak, I departed from my friends with the intention of running 7 Peaks of Strand loop. 5 minutes later, and still within my crew's sight, I had rolled my ankle twice and lost my confidence.

Through perseverance (or stubborness), I continued to precariously run through the wet, damp, slippery trail, managing to clock up 6 of the 7 peaks before shaving one off to ensure I made it back to the car in time.

Awesome morning celebrating Amelia's birthday. After a morning sauna on the fjord, the crew hiked up to Fantapytten.

We stopped for some mandatory hike snacks, optional swims in the fairy pools and then were treated to some mountain espressos from the one and only Sammy J with his trusty AeroPress.

Sandnes Trail Run

Whilst defined paths are few and far between, waymarking is.
Big morning exploring the Sandnes area. Followed the Sandnes Ultra route for most of the run. Website said “smooth flowing trails” yet the Norwegians must have a different definition 😝

Out of the mountains and onto the coast.
The run proved to have a huge variation, taking in swamps and lakes, coastal paths, big slab rock faces (great for getting quick vert), and some more annoying boulder paths!
