Quickstart guide

Welcome! Here's a short guide to help you get the most out of Gone. If you have questions or feedback, you can find us at hello@goneapp.co

01

Creating your trip

Gone is made for storytelling. It’s great for multi-day trips, a big day out, or any time spent moving in the outdoors that was meaningful to you.

Upload trip assets. We've tried to make trip creation straight forward. Just upload all the images and routes from your trip, press Create Trip. You can always add more later.

Currently, we support the following file types:

Image iconImages
JPG, HEIC
Image iconRoutes
GPX

Multi-Day Trips. Gone is ideal for trips that span several days or weeks. For best results, upload a separate file for each day or stage of your trip.

Mixing Activities. Whether it's a mix of bikepacking and skiing in the Alps or any other combination, Gone handles it all. Just upload the files for each activity.

Image quality and location data. To maintain image quality, make sure to export your photos at full quality. If an image includes location data, Gone will automatically plot them on the map.

No GPX file for your trip? If you're missing these files, you can find or create routes using tools like Strava (paid), Komoot, Plotaroute, Maps to GPX, etc. Need help? Email us at hello@goneapp.co with your trip details, and we'll create the route for you.
